LPG subsidy to be deposited in saints’ bank accounts in Ujjain

Ujjain : Saints and seers are dispensed provisions and LPG cylinders on the rebated price from the 40 fair price shops setup across the Simhastha Fair. The subsidy of LPG cylinder will be deposited in the bank accounts by the administration.

District In-charge Minister Bhupendra Singh reviewed the system of the distribution of provisions and LPG cylinders to the saints late on Monday. Minister directed senior and zonal officials during the meeting told that the saints will get the subsidized amounts deposited in their bank accounts. Saints are being dispensed sugar, rice, wheat flour and LPG cylinders from the fair price shops. Around 2000 LPG cylinders have been dispensed till now. Minister also directed officials to provide quality provisions to the saints. They should be dispensed the ration in time.

It was informed during the meeting that there were 40 fair price shops being conducted across the fair area. They have a stock of 10, 000 quintal wheat flour. The administration aims to dispense 60, 000 metric tons of wheat to the saints. 2000 metric tons of rice and 1000 metric tons of sugar have been stocked at the fair area. Food and Supply department has issued 2000 ration cards in the fair and it is still continued. For each of the Akhara, 5000 members have been registered.
