Ujjain: Lecture series highlights Gandhian thoughts, its effect in journalism

Ujjain: On the sixth day of Akhil Bharatiya Sadbhavana Vyakhyanmala, senior journalist Rajesh Badal had delivered lecture on ‘Gandhi’s Journalism Past and Present’ and Makhanlal Chaturvedi Rashstriya Patrakarita University, Bhopal, Vice Chancellor Jagdish Upasane presented views on ‘Media and Indianness’ in a programme held at Bharatiya Gyanpeeth College on Monday.Rajesh Badal said that Mahatma Gandhi was an excellent communicator who attracted millions of hearts with his majestic words. He further said that media should not be biased and always present the truth. Gandhi had faced criticism from all walks of life during his career in journalism but he continued his works and emerged victorious.

Jagdish Upasne said that we should follow the Gandhian ideals in journalism. Gandhi revived journalism and provided a new dimension, he added.During the programme, Sandeep Kulshrestha’s work ‘Print, Electronic and New Media in India’ was inaugurated by the guests. Dr Chandar Sonane’s work ‘Nation, Society and Culture’ was also released on the occasion.Municipal corporation speaker Sonu Gehlot, Mahesh Sharma, Sandeep Vatsa, Bhupendra Bhutda and Shailendra Rathi were also present in the programme. Dr Girish Pandya conducted the programme and senior advocate Krishnamangal Singh Kulshrestha proposed the vote of thanks.

Nityasen Maharaj and Bajaranlal Agrawal to deliver lecture today


Vijay Nityasen Maharaj will deliver lecture on ‘Women’s role in development of society’ and Bajranglal Agrawal will present views on ‘Non-violent ways to solve contemporary problems’.
