Indore : On the third day of the search action at seven locations of Shriji Polymers, officers of investigation wing of the income tax department seized a large quantity of documents. The action is likely to complete on Sunday, said official sources.
During the action officials have recovered documents of bank transactions, which will be further scrutinised to probe into the company’s tax evasion cases. Officials are also recording statements of several company officials in connection with the case.
Teams comprising tax department as well as police officials have been carrying out countrywide raids on the company properties for suspected tax evasion, under which as many as 50 locations in seven states were searched on Thursday. On Friday, the teams recovered Rs 75 lakh from bank lockers of the company in city.
