Something tells us that Kareena Kapoor Khan’s baby will be one of the best educated persons in town… The actress, who is in the family way, feels very strongly about education. It’s one of the main reasons that she is a celebrity advocate for UNICEF, working closely over the last four years for the education of the girl child in India. She reveals that it is something she is passionate about because education is something she believes in completely. She herself is regretful of the fact that she could not complete her education, having rushed into films. It remains a sensitive issue with her and she admits to always regretting that she never got to go to college… See what we mean about the best educated baby??
When she does take a break from filming to have her baby, it’s likely that Kareena will get cracking on the wellness blog planned in association with nutritionist and writer, Rujuta Diwekar. She reveals that they are seriously considering a blog that addresses women and their problems in terms of food, exercise, pregnancy, menopause and other topics.
The maternity break will not be a very long one, by the looks of it. Bebo, as she is fondly called, sees herself very much in films, doing what she likes best, even ten years down the line. In fact, she sees herself working all her life. Smiling, she reveals that she had been warned by certain people not to get married because it is taboo in India for an actress and they end up losing out on work. It never happened and with the support of her husband, she adds, she continued to follow her dream. She believes that the pattern will continue because in Bollywood you are as old as you look and also the industry tends to copy Hollywood which has amazing actors who are married and with children. It has never stopped them, she points out, adding that she believes that Bollywood is getting there.
There is a strong likelihood that Kareena could just deliver her baby in London. It’s a city she adores, what with she and Saif already spending a two-month annual vacation there. The city is home for Saif, she points out, and they have family and many of Saif’s friends there, who he is very close to. They both enjoy being in London, and being stars while yet cutting away from that world, spending time with people who have no idea of Bollywood.
Mumbai might be home but she is no fan of the concrete jungle that is, its lack of greenery and pollution. Also, neither she nor Saif are the kind to be part of B-town’s cliques, which is probably why they do not miss the city too much at all… At the end of the day though, it’s work that will win and draw back this Kapoor – those cinematic genes will assert themselves, right?
