Mumbai: Ramesh Govani, owner of Kamala Mills and Sayyed alias Shehzad Mumtaz Ali, a waiter who was serving hukkah at Mojo’s Bistro were produced before the Bhoiwada court and remanded to judicial custody uptil February 12.Utkarsh Pandey, the hookah supplier was also produced before the court and remanded to judicial custody till January 31.
Ali who was serving hookah at Mojo’s Bistro was arrested by the police on Wednesday from his residence at Mansarovar near Navi Mumbai. Meanwhile, Rajendra Baban Patil, the arrested fire officer has been remanded to judicial custody uptil January 31.
Pandey’s bail application has been filed and will be heard on January 29 this year. The bail application of the accused Jigar Sanghvi, Kripesh Sanghvi, owners of 1Above and their partner Abhijit Mankar and the owners of Yug Tuli and Yug Pathak, the owners of Mojo’s Bistro were rejected on Thursday.Public Prosecutor Sanjay Wadhwane had argued before the court that the accused might tamper with evidence after being released.The owners of 1Above and Mojo’s Bistro will be filing the bail application before the sessions court.
The police have so far arrested thirteen persons in this case. Earlier, the police had arrested Sanghvis and Mankar, owners of 1Above, Lisbon Lopez and Kevin Bawa; managers of 1Above, Pathak and Tuli, owners of Mojo’s Bistro, builder Vishal Karia, fire station officer Rajendra Patil, Ravi Bhandari, Director of Kamala Mills and Utkarsh Pandey, a hookah supplier.
