Ujjain : Followers of Sadguru Kabir or Kabir Panthis organised a ‘Religion Parliament’ and voiced the demand of banning liquor in the city of Mahakal here at Sadguru Kabir Jagu Gyan Satsang camp located in Dutt Akhara zone of Simhastha Fair Area.
The seers demanded Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan to put immediate ban on liquor in the holy city and termed it as a ‘stock of poison’.
They also hailed the CM of Bihar, Nitish Kumar for imposing complete ban on liquor. Apart from this, Kabir Panthis also demanded Prime Minister Narendra Modi to issue notification of national holiday on the occasion of the Jayanti of Sadguru Kabir which falls on Jaishta Purnima. National general secretary of Akhil Bhartiya Kabir Vichar Manch. Mahant Saheb Ramesh Das informed Free Press that the parliament has been presided over by Mahant Ramdayal Saheb and Gurudayal Saheb while Mahant Yogendra Saheb, Mahant Ginendra Saheb and others were present.
