Ink attack on Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut by party worker

Lucknow: A Shiv Sena worker attempted to throw ink on party MP Sanjay Raut as rival factions in the party clashed here.

“A Shiv Sainik attempted to throw ink on Raut in front the VVIP guest house here this afternoon,” party sources said, adding the clothes of a worker standing a little distance from Raut were smeared and the man and his accomplice were overpowered.

The MP, who was here to meet Sena members and take stock of the situation ahead of assembly polls next year, said that he has come to know of some problems in the party and will look into them.

Both of the men have been taken into custody. One of them received minor injuries in the incident, they said. According to sources, rival factions in the party clashed with each other.
