Indore: The city police on Thursday arrested a 21-year-old youth from Mhow for allegedly killing a eunuch in Khajrana area. The eunuch was staying with the accused in a rented accommodation and was killed by the accused following an argument over petty issue, police investigation has revealed.

ASP Manoj Rai said that eunuch Manju alias Rehan was found murdered at the rented accommodation in Haji Madnibagh Colony area on May 7. Police along with FSL team investigated the spot. The investigation revealed that Manju was stabbed to death by room partner Salman Khan, who was on the run after killing Manju.

On the directives of DIG Harinarayanachari Mishra, a team was constituted to nab accused Salman. Police team collected information from Manju’s father Sheikh Salim who said he has three sons and a daughter. His second son Manja alias Rehan was impotent so he had changed his gender 12 years ago. He then changed his name as Manju from Manja and Rehan. Manju was staying with Salman in a rented accommodation for seven months. They moved to Haji Madnibag Colony three months ago.

Manju’s father told the police that he had got information about quarrel between them and he along with another son Parvez reached Manju’s accommodation where they found Salman attacking Manju with a knife. They cried for help but Salman managed to flee from there. They tried to take Manju to hospital but he was dead by then. Salman took away Manju’s Activa scooter and mobile phone.

Salman’s family members are stay at Chandan Nagar. Police searched him at bus stand, railway station and interrogated his family members. Later, police came to know that he is in Khandwa after which they contact him posing as lawyers who can help. He reached Mhow to meet lawyer when he was arrested by the police. Salman told police that on the day of the incident, he was talking to a woman over phone. Manju objected and they had an argument. The situation turned violent and  Salman stabbed Manju more than four times.
