Indore: Woman stabbed by three persons

A 40-year-old woman was stabbed and injured by three persons in Gandhi Nagar area late on Friday night.  According to Gandhi Nagar police, Kamla Dhurve, a resident of Gandhi Nagar was rushed to a hospital after she was stabbed twice by three persons. Accused identified as Antu alias Hemant of the same area along with his two accomplices reached Kamla’s residence. They knocked the door and asked about Kamla’s son Sanju.

The woman opened the door and said Sanju was not at house after which one of the accused stabbed her twice in her abdomen and leg and fled the scene. Hearing Kamla’s shriek, neighbours rushed to the house and after informing the police, they rushed her to MY Hospital. She is undergoing treatment and police are trying to take her statements to trace the accused.

Police said that they raided many places in search of accused but they could not be arrested till filing the report. The motive of the attack is also still not known. Police presume that the accused might have come to attack the Sanju over some issue and since they did not get him, they attacked her. The statement of Sanju is also being taken by the police. A case of attempt to murder has been registered against the accused and a search is on to nab them.
