Indore: Woman employee arrested in CDR selling case

Indore: A woman was arrested by State Cyber Cell for selling Call Detail Record (CDR) of customers on Wednesday. The woman was a Direct Selling Agent (DSA). Police also seized the computer of woman from her company. According to reports the woman was involved in selling CDR since las one year with help of accused arrested earlier in the case. Police produced the woman before the court from where she was sent on a judicial remand.

SP (Cyber Cell) Jitendra Singh said that after interrogating the five accused arrested earlier, another accused Ankush Patidar was arrested on Tuesday. Ankur is reportedly a research analyst and was also involved in the crime. Police have also seized a pen drive from him. With the lead received from the interrogation of Ankush, cyber cell SI Pooja Muvel and her team detained Neetu Chuhan alias Neetu Rathore who was working at Concept DSA owned by Santosh Khare. She was working at the DSA as telecalling and office executive and she informed the cyber officials that she was selling CDR since past one year. She used to sell CDR two to three times in a month to Ankush by using pen drive.

During investigation police officials found that earlier arrested accused Rajendra Parmar had done his BA graduation from a private college in city and Neetu was her class mate at that time. Neetu alleged that Rajendra had suggested her to gain profit by selling the CDR and later she agreed and Ankur acted as a medium for selling the records. She used to earn around Rs 8000 to Rs 10,000.

Cyber Cell arrested Neetu and seized her computer and on interrogation she confessed that she used to sell CDR of landlines and postpaid. Neetu was produced before court from where she was sent for judicial remand. According to sources, Neetu and Ankush have provided important information during interrogation. They provided information about some companies which sell CDR. State Cyber Cell will soon take action against such companies.

Notably, earlier Cyber Cell officials have arrested accused Mukesh Jareda, Sanjay Dheeman, Rajendra Parmar and Aditya Acharya on Sunday. Following the lead given by them, cell officials later arrested fifth accused Ashish Khatri who gave the lead about Ankush and Ankush gave lead about Neetu.
