Indore: City crime branch on Tuesday arrested two persons while planning murder of an auto rickshaw driver over an old dispute. Two knifes were also recovered from the accused. Acting on a tip off, joint team of crime branch and central kotwali police station nabbed Imran Khan of Samrat Colony, Khajrana and his friend Sagar Bagdi of Raoji Bazaar area of the city.
According to police, both the accused are auto rickshaw drivers and run their rickshaw from Ranipura auto stand. During interrogation, they admitted planning to kill auto driver Irshad of Chhatripura over an old enmity with him. Imran informed that his brother Irfan is also a rickshaw driver and he had an argument with Irshan over taking passengers a few days ago, following which Imran called Sagar and the duo were planning to kill Irshad before police caught them. Imran had acquired the knife from Ajmer and used to carry it in his auto rickshaw, police said.
Locked houses burgled
Two houses were reportedly burgled in Amrit Palace Colony near Lasudiya Area on Monday. According to police, complainant Ghanshyam Rathore reported that his locked house at Sector-B was burgled, when the family was away on Sunday. The thieves decamped with gold ring, Rs 13,000 cash and other valuables, he alleged. Similarly, in another incident complainant Abhishek Yadav, a resident of Goyal Avenue in Amrit palace reported that his locked house was burgled and thieves decamped with gold and silver ornaments and Rs 5,000 cash. Police have registered case in both the incidents.
Man stabs wife
A man stabbed her wife over some dispute in Pancham Ki Phel area of the city on Monday. According to Tukoganj police, the accused Balram Bheel stabbed his wife Rajni over some fight when her sister Lakshmi had arrived for celebrating Raksha Bandhan. The victim suffered injuries on her shoulder and head and is undergoing treatment.
3 arrested planning theft
Three persons were arrested by police while planning theft at Vijay Nagar area on late Sunday night. Police station in charge SK Das said that a tip off was received that four suspects were roaming in the area to commit crime, after which a police team cordoned off the area and detained the three youths while one of them managed to flee. During interrogation, the trio admitted planning theft in the area. Two mobile phones were recovered from them and search is on for their fourth accomplice. Das said that the accused have been identified as Sajan, Deepak and Jayesh. The fourth accomplice was identified as Aman Yadav.
