A 40-year-old man has registered a case against two persons for thrashing him after refusing to give money to them in Bhanwarkuan area on Friday.
According to police, the victim Arun Yadav, a resident of Pushpa Nagar, in his complaint stated that he is a public transport vehicle driver and was travelling on Khandwa Road near IT Park Square on Friday morning when accused Shahrukh, a resident of Kohinoor Colony and Ajay, a resident of Chitawad blocked his way and demanded Rs 500 for consuming alcohol on knifepoint. When the victim refused, the accused started beating him and when his friends and fellow drivers Deepak Patel, Vinod Chauhan and Jitendra tried to intervene, they started beating and threatening them also, police said. The victim and his friends fled from the scene to save themselves leaving their vehicles and when they returned the accused pelted stones at the vehicles causing a lot of damage. The accused then fled with Arun’s vehicle, the victim alleged. Police have registered a case and started investigation.
