Indore: Transgenders gherao police station after eunuch stabbed

Indore: A large number of transgender people gheraoed Pardeshipura police station after a eunuch was stabbed and critically injured by another one following an argument between them on Sunday.

According to police, Nandlalpura resident Siyakunwar lodged a complaint alleging that they were busy collecting ‘holi’ from the traders in Pardeshipura area when accused Bala took Siyakunwar near NTC Ground and started arguing over some old issue.

Later, Bala allegedly stabbed Siyakunwar with a knife injuring the latter badly.

As the news spread, a large number of transgender reached the police station and demanded strict action against the accused.

They alleged that the accused though did not belong to the eunuch community wanted to collect money from the area by posing self as eunuch.

Police have detained the accused after filling a case against him and investigation is on into the incident.
