Indore: In a bid to create one crore jobs, officials of the Union Textile Ministry and state government will inform about the Rs 6000 crore special package for textile units and garments exporters here on Saturday.
According to official information of Audyogic Kendra Vikas Nigam (AKVN) Indore, a workshop will be organised at Brilliant Convention Centre on saturday. Officials of the Ministry and the state government would elaborate about the measures suggested in the Rs 6000 crore special package for readymade garments and textile exports units.Over 300 delegates of Indore and Ujjain division are likely to attend the workshop.
Indore was chosen for organizing the workshop for its strategic importance, as it houses readymade complex in Pardeshipura, where over 2000 readymade garments units are working. Certain textile units are also working at Sanwer Road and in Pithampur and in Ujjain also.It may be noted that on January 22 this year, the Union govt had approved an Rs 6000 crore special package for textile and apparel sector. The package aims at helping in creating one crore jobs, mostly for women, in next three years.
