Indore: State civil service preliminary exam-2017 would be conducted by the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) for filling as many as 190 posts lying vacant in different government departments on February 10.
A notification for the exam has been released.
As per the notification, the online window for registration would be opened at noon on December 9. The MPPSC stated that application forms would be accepted only through online mode.
The registration window would close at midnight of January 8. Candidates can fill application forms for the state forest service exam also along with the civil service exam.
Fee for both the exams can be paid through debit, credit cards or through net banking. Payment in cash could also be made but through MPOnline kiosks only.
Candidates can make correction in their online forms, if any, from December 16 to January 10, the notification states.
Candidates would have to pay a charge of Rs 50 for making correction in the application forms.
The preliminary exam would be conducted at centres to be set up in 51 districts across the state.
General studies paper would be conducted from 10 am to noon and general aptitude paper from 2.15 to 4.15 pm.
The civil service selection is a three-stage process. In the first stage, preliminary exam is conducted. Those declared successful in the preliminary exam qualify for main exam.
The candidates who clear the main exam is called for personal interview, which is the final round of selection process.
The MPPSC stated that they would issue separate notifications for main exam and personal interviews.
