Indore: Local crime branch police on Thursday arrested three persons in connection with thefts. One of the accused was arrested for buying stolen goods from the accused. Additional Superintendent of Police (crime) Amarendra Singh said police received information that three persons are roaming in Chandan Nagar to sell stolen laptop and mobile phones at low rates.

After the information, crime branch team cordoned off the area and arrest Jitendra alias Pachchis Kumawat of Raj Nagar, Kailash Salvi of Raj Nagar and Vishnu Prajapat of Sheetal Nagar. During search, a laptop was recovered from them. They confessed to stealing it from a house in Chandan Nagar. They told police they had stolen a laptop from house of an IMC employee in last May. They stole a mobile phone from Dwarkapuri area few days back. Following lead given by them, crime branch recovered a mobile phone from them.

ASP Singh said six more mobile phones were recovered from accused. The accused were handed over to Chandan Nagar police station staff for further action. Accused Jitendra was earlier booked by Chandan Nagar and Aerodrome police in connection with thefts and assault. Accused Kailash allegedly told police that he is a school bus driver and he had committed many thefts along with Jitendra. They used to sell stolen goods to Vishnu in cheap price. Police are also trying to know about the person who bought stolen goods from the accused as well.
