Indore: Polling booths to be rationalised in forthcoming Lok Sabha elections

Indore: After the state assembly elections, initial preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections have started. Under this programme, rationalisation of polling stations will be done soon. Door to door revision of electoral rolls in the district will be conducted. A meeting was held in this regard on Tuesday at the Collector Office. The meeting was presiding over by Collector and District Election Officer Nishant Warwade. Additional Collectors, Joint Collectors, Deputy Collectors, Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildar and other officers were present.

Collector Warwade reviewed the arrangements made during the recently concluded assembly elections. He instructed them to complete the remaining works immediately after the election. It was informed in the meeting that the officials who were employed for various tasks of the duty of assembly election will be given honorarium as per the eligibility. Instructions have been given to make it available for quick list. It may be paintable that the Parliamentary elections are scheduled in April-May next year, for which the model code of conduct is likely to declare in the first week of March
