Indore: Yoga guru Baba Ramdev’s Patanjali group has given possession of 44 acre land for its food processing plant at Pithampur. Officials of Audhyogic Kendra Vikas Nigam (AKVN) Indore on Tuesday handed over the procession letter of 44 acre land to officials of Patanjali.
The land is located in Sector-3 of Pithampur, where the group would to set up food processing plant for manufacturing wheat flour, noodles, etc. Officials of AKVN reached at Pithampur on Tuesday to officially give possession of land to Patanjali group. On the occasion Patanjali officials handed over the layout of food processing plant to AKVN officials for approval. After the layout and designs are approved, the company will start work for setting up the plant. Patanjali has appointed Narendra Sisodiya as local official to look after plant construction work.
Patanjali group has demanded 100 to 150 acre land more in Pithampur and the AKVN officials have visited the land in sector two and three. During Global Investors Summit on October 22 and 23 in the city, Ramdev had expressed displeasure over allotting just 44 acre land at Pithampur. He demanded 100 to 150 acre land for setting up the plant.
