Indore: Late night caller kills youth

A 20-year-old youth was found murdered in Sanwer Road area on Friday morning.  He was called out by “someone” during the night after which he did not return. Family members alleged that he was abducted and killed by “that person”. Rumour mongers are also saying that he was killed due to a love affair that went awry. However, police were clueless about the accused till filing of the report.

Banganga police station in-charge Indramani Patel said the deceased has been identified as Ritik Pandey, a resident of New Ram Nagar area of the city. His body was found in E-Sector on Sanwer Road around 6 am. The killer/s have crushed his head with a heavy stone. Police recovered the stone from near the body and initiated a search for the accused after sending the body for autopsy.

CALL CAME AT 2.30 AM
Police came to know that Ritik was employed as a collection agent in a company in the city. He had reached home around 1 am. Around 2.30 am, “Someone” had called him over the phone and Ritik left his home while talking on the phone.

BEING  THRASHED…
Sources, however, claimed that Ritik had informed his family members about some men thrashing him after which his phone went silent. His family members later started searching for him in the area but he was not traceable.  In the morning, family members went to the police station to file a missing report.

However, the worst was awaiting them when the police informed them about the body recovered on Sanwer Road. The family members later identified the body Ritik’s. Police believe that he was killed by person/s who called him during the night. The call details are also being fetched.  Police believe that he was killed following dispute over his love affair. The police are also trying to learn about the girl.
