Indore: The staff of Indian Institute of Management Indore bid farewell to director Prof Rishikesha T Krishnan on Wednesday whose tenure expires on December 31. “Institute has always been a warm and friendly place, which helped my journey to start and end both on a positive note. We have made progress in research in past years with amazing colleagues and I believe IIM Indore will keep scaling greater heights in future,” he said. In his address, IIM Indore chairman Deepak Satwalekar said it is difficult to describe a leader in few words who has been an integral part of institute.
‘The credit of stabilising IIM Indore goes to Krishnan. On the academic front, his efforts to bring research and publications to the front line are admirable. He had the ability to connect with internal and external stakeholders in a smooth manner. Any positive connect with the outside world is important for the institute and Krishnan’s role has been a very strong one,” he said. He also noted how IPM has been a successful course during Krishnan’s tenure.
The institute also bid adieu to Prof Abha Chatterjee, faculty, communications,who will be superannuating on December 31 and Prof Meenakshi Aggarwal Gupta, faculty, IIM Indore Mumbai campus who will be leaving on the same day after completion of contract.
