Indore: The Indore bench of Madhya Pradesh High Court on Wednesday reserved the order on bail application of Dr Vinod Bhandari, one of the main accused of Vyapam pre-PG medical entrance examination scam, who laundered money to the tune of Rs 7 crore.

Dr Bhandari is one of prime accused in the case filed by Enforcement Directorate sub-zonal office, Indore. At present, he is imprisoned in Central Jail. In response to prosecution complaint file by ED against Dr Bhandari and three others in the special court, Dr Bhandari was sent to judicial remand on August 16.

Dr Bhandari filed application in Indore bench. The hearing on the bail application was conducted in the court of Justice Prakash Jaiswal. Dr Bhandari through counsel said he has been cooperating with investigation agency right from the beginning and therefore there is no reason that he should be kept behind bars.

Deepak Rawal, the ED counsel, told court that accused cannot be granted bail as he has not proved his innocence. Dr Bhandari’s sons Mohak and Mahak were present in the court.
