Indore: A youth was arrested by police for allegedly molesting a minor girl in Azad Nagar area on Tuesday. The girl was returning home when the accused stopped her on the way.

According to the police, a 15-year-old girl told police that she was returning home when accused Dhirendra of Shanti Nagar stopped and started molesting her. The girl objected him when accused allegedly tore her clothes. Later, accused fled from the scene after the girl cried for help. The police have booked the accused under relevant sections of IPC and arrested the accused.

In second instance, another minor girl was molested by a youth named Rohit in Malharganj area on Monday. Victim in her complaint stated that she was going alone when accused stopped her near Bada Ganpati Square and held her hand. She cried for help when some local residents gathered at the spot but accused fled after threatening her with dire consequences. The accused could not be arrested till filing of the report.

Another girl residing in Vijay Nagar area lodged a complaint that she is a college student. A youth named Saksham is harassing her for months. The accused has also put a photo of victim on social media and sent some messages to defame her. Girl told the police that accused is from Lalitpur and stays in Scheme Number 74. He has been stalking, teasing and making obscene gestures for more than two months. The police have booked the accused under Sections 354-D, 509 of IPC and 66-D of IT Act and started investigation the case.

In fourth incident, a girl was eve-teased and beaten up by a youth in Chandan Nagar area on Sunday. Police said that the accused Rahul Kaithwas was booked under Sections 354, 323, 294, 506 and 195 of IPC. Victim told the police that accused held her hand she was on way for personal work. She cried for help after which the accused beat up and threatened her. A search is on for the accused.
