Indore: A 16-year-old boy from Sadar Bazaar area committed suicide after failing in Class X board exams on Friday. Though, no suicide note was recovered from the spot, family members of the deceased informed police that the boy took the extreme step after checking his result on his mobile phone. According to the police, the deceased was identified as Sumit Bagora, a resident of Brahmbag Colony.
Investigating officer SI BR Devre informed Free Press that Sumit had appeared in class X examination of MP board this year, the result of which was declared on Friday. Elder brother of the deceased, Rohit informed police that the incident happened when he and his father Motilal were away on their job and their mother was in Rajasthan.
Only their younger sister was accompanying Sumit at home, to whom Sumit admitted about his depression after he got to know about his failure in the exam. According to police, the deceased’s younger sister found him hanging after she grew curious about Sumit not coming out of his room for a long time since he locked himself in.
Following her discovery, she informed family members and also rushed him to the hospital with help of neighbors but it was too late, as doctor declared him brought dead. Police have sent the body for autopsy and started investigation into the case.
