Police booked them under various sections including 307 of the IPC

Indore: A group of eunuchs allegedly thrashed a shopkeeper, who was busy with inauguration of his shop in MG Road police station area here on Sunday.

The accused were seeking money for opening new shop. Police have booked them under Section 147, 148, 452, 336, 327, 307, 506 of the IPC and shopkeeper and two of his friends were also booked by the police on the complaint of eunuchs.

According to MG Road police station in-charge BS Raghuvanshi, the incident took place in Snehlataganj area on Sunday afternoon. Shopkeeper Sanjay Shah lodged a complaint that he was busy in the inauguration of his shop when Priya, Sulochana, Shakira, Jhumar, Triveni, Moram and others reached there and demanded Rs 51,000 for opening new shop. They also started creating a ruckus and later they thrashed him and other people and also pelted stones on them when he refused to give the amount. Several persons were injured in the stone pelting.

The police also booked Sanjay Shah, Rajendra and Raghvendra on the complaint of Sulochana. Sulochana stated in the complaint that they were demanding nominal amount for the new shop but Shah started manhandling them and later thrashed them and also kicked them out of the shop. The police are investigating the matter after filling the reports from both the parties.
