Indore: The district administration on Thursday said milk, fruits and vegetables will remain available in enough quantity during the 10-day strike called by farmers from June 1. “Citizens will not be allowed to face any kind of problem,” collector Nishant Warwade said and added that action will be taken against those who will try to disturb peace, law and order. Adequate security arrangements will be made in the district.

He said growers bringing their produce to the market will be provided full security. Administrative sources said essential goods may be brought from villages to local mandis in full security. Under the farmers’ call for ‘Gaon bandh’, farmers will stop supply of vegetables, fruits, dairy products from villages to cities.
