Indore: Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) has announced plans to hold third semester exams of traditional undergraduate courses from December 15.

Deputy Registrar (exams) Prajwal Khare said that they have finalised the exam commencement date and soon timetable would be released.

Currently, the university is accepting forms for the third semester exams. The last date to submit exam forms without late fee is December 3.

Khare further said that exams forms could be accepted after December 3 only on special permission from vice chancellor Dr Narendra Dhakad.

As per academic calendar, the universities across the state were supposed to start first, second and fifth semester exams from November and declare the results by December end.

But the DAVV is forced to violate the calendar due to delay in second and fourth semester exams results.

While the first semester exams have already been started, the fifth semester exams would commence on December 3.

It is very unlikely that the DAVV would be able to declare results by December end, a deadline fixed by Department of Higher Education.

Khare admitted that the results could not be announced by December end as most of the course exams would be underway at that time.

However, our attempt would be to try to give results as early as possible. “We will send copies for evaluation within a few days after exams are over.”

He said that tentatively, the first semester exams results would be announced by January 20. Fifth semester and third semester exams results could stretch till February, he added.
