Indore: Cyber cell police have recovered Rs 1.81 lakh, which was duped through cyber crime with the use of Credit /ATM cards by conmen. Police have re-deposited the recoveered amount in the accounts of respective victims.

SP (Cyber Cell) Jitendra Singh informed that conmen used to collect information of bank accounts from customers through phone calls posing as bank officials and withdraw money from people’s bank accounts. State cyber police initiated action against such crimes after getting complaints on duping incidents since January 2017 and succeeded to recover the duped amount.

SP Singh added that people should be aware about such cyber crime and do not give any information related to bank account to any person on phone calls. If they receive any such call, immediately inform the cyber police at its office at Pipliyahana Square.
