Police on Sunday took Dr Ramesh Badlani, chairman of Modern Institute of Medical Science, in custody from jail following court permission. He is being questioned in connection with another FIR registered against him few months ago.  Kanadiya police station incharge Anil Singh Rathore said that Badlani was arrested from Delhi few months ago. The students had created ruckus in the college and had lodged a complaint fraud against him with police.

Some students had alleged that Badlani took lakhs of rupees from them in the name MBBS admission but students found that no faculty members there to teach them and there was no lab as well. He was in central jail after his arrest.  On Sunday, police obtained court permission to arrest Badlani for investigating the matter on the complaint of student Abhishek Chouhan.

Chouhan had submitted a written complaint in which he stated that he and his sister Priyanka got admission in Badlani’s college and they had paid Rs 20 lakh to Badlani for MBBS but the college has no faculty members and lab.  TI Rathore said that another case was also registered against Badlani. The court sent Badlani to police remand till Monday.
