Indore: Commissioner Raghavendra Singh held a review meeting of the Indore Smart City Project at a meeting held his office on Wednesday. The commissioner said that the work of Smart City should be completed within the time limit. While conserving Rajwada, Gandhi Hall, Gopal Mandir, Banke Bihari Temple and Holkars Chhatries, their original sanctity should be retained. He said that the heritage path should be made in the Rajwada region.

Solar energy will be used. He also said that while carrying out these works, citizens and elected representatives should be consulted.  The smart city project will cover old RTO Bhawan, MOG Lines, Deolalikar Kala Vithika and Marathi School.

Budget cost is Rs 600 crore out of which 300 crore have been spent. The conservation work of Chhatries of Holkars will be completed in two months. Priority is being given to Subhash Marg, MG Road, Harsidhi Bridge and Jairampur to Lalbagh Palace from Chhatri Bagh Bridge. Similarly, shopping complex and garden will be developed in CP Shekhar Nagar.
