Indore: A 16-year-old boy was severely injured by three other minor boys with some sharp object over some petty issue at scheme 140 under Tilak Nagar police station jurisdiction on Tuesday.

Tilak Nagar police station incharge Neeraj Sarwan said that the victim has been identified as Harshit Arora, a resident of Bengali Square. Arora is a class 12 student while his cousin Varun is studying in class 11. During school hours Varun had a small fight with a class nine student. The class nine student threatened Varun and asked him to meet outside the school which Varun avoided. The accused then started messaging and calling Varun to meet and solve the dispute. After repeated messages, Varun informed about the incident to Harshit who accompanied him to a park where they were supposed to meet. The accused along with his 15 friends started beating Varun and when Harshit tried to save his cousin, he was injured by some sharp objects and stones by the group. Harshit suffered serious head injuries and is undergoing treatment in a hospital. The police have registered a case against the accused and started investigation.

Sex racket busted, three arrested

Police have busted a sex racket and arrested three persons from Guru Sampada flat situated in Tulsi Nagar on Tuesday.

According to Lasudiya police, they received a tip-off about the sex racket and sent a youth with two 500 rupee notes to the flat to trap the gang. They signalled the police about the activities in the flat after reaching there. The police then raided the flat and found one Satyajeet Das, a resident of Nipaniya, in objectionable position and was arrested along with a woman. Police also arrested a woman Kanta Thakur who is allegedly operating the racket with cash and some objectionable materials. According to reports Kanta confessed operating the racket with help of one Gordhan Thakur.
