Indore: At least five members of a family were injured when their car rammed into a dumper at Tejaji Nagar on Tuesday night. According to information, the victims were going to attend a marriage function. The injured have been identified as Rajkumar (46), son of Kamtaprasad; Parvati (40), wife of Rajkumar; Sushma (11), daughter; Umesh (15), son and Sandhya (16), daughter of Rajkumar.

All are the residents of Sagar. When the victims’ car was passing through Tejaji Nagar bridge on bypass, a dumper going ahead applied sudden break and the car rammed into it. All the injured were rushed to MY Hospital by 108 Ambulance. After receiving the information, police reached at the spot and started the investigation.

Man found dead near Subhash Chowk

A man was found in unconscious condition in front of Subhash Chowk multi-level parking area on Tuesday night. Nearby people rushed him to MY Hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.

The deceased was identified as Gopal Porwal (45), a resident of Beema Nagar, Anand Bazaar. Doctors found some blue spots on the body of deceased indicating that he was thrashed by some unidentified persons. Police have registered a case and started the investigations.

Woman complains of dowry harassment

A married woman lodged a complaint of dowry harassment by her husband and in-laws with the police. She told police that her in-laws and husband were demanding the woman to bring Rs 25 lakh as dowry from her parents to buy a flat in Mumbai. When she refused to do so, they started harassing her.

Women police station incharge Jyoti Sharma informed that on the complaint of Sheetal Chowkse (33), a resident of Samwad Nagar, police have taken action against woman’s husband Bharat, father in-law Dushyant Chowkse and mother in-law Shakuntala Chowkse, all residents of Meer Road, Thane (Maharashtra).

The victim informed police that she was married to Bharat on November 25, 2015. At the time of marriage, her father had given Rs 6 lakh cash, ornaments worth around Rs 2.5 lakh and other valuable items.

Sometime after the marriage, her mother in-law started asking to her to bring Rs 25 lakh from her father as they wanted to buy a flat in Mumbai. When she refused, they started torturing her physically and mentally. On her complaint, police have registered a case and send a team to Thane to arrest the accused.

Two hurt as bike hits divider

Two motorcycle riders were injured in a road mishap on Tuesday night. According to police, both the injured – Piyush (28) and Surendra (20) – were students and residents of Khargone. Their motorcycle hit road divider near Robert Nursing Home and both of them got injured. Police immediately reached at the spot and rushed them to MY Hospital.
