Indore: Came to Indore to meet kin but couldn’t return home

Some outstation persons, who had come to the city to meet their relatives, could not return safely. They had boarded the ill-fated Indore-Patna Express on Saturday from Indore and were killed in the accident.

Kanpur-based Anup Mishra (18) had come to Indore some days ago to meet his uncle Kapil Angihotri. He also visited Dhar and other nearby places to meet other relatives. He had boarded the train on a waiting ticket. He was travelling in S-4 coach. He was killed in the mishap, Angihotri said.

Similarly, Amethi resident Kusum Devi along with her five-year-old son Anees had come to meet her relatives residing in Kushwah Nagar. As she had some urgency, her relative Rajaram Borasi booked tickets for her return in the ill-fated train. Both the mother-son duo was killed in the mishap.

Aruna and Padma Adane of Nagpur were on a tour after their retirement. They had visited Ujjain and planned to go to Varanasi. Their local relative Subhash Shinde said that the duo had boarded the train and later he was informed that they were killed in the derailment.
