Indore: Bhuria supporters create ruckus at airport

Jhabua’s Congress MP Kantilal Bhuria watched as a mute spectator as his supporters created a ruckus on his arrival at city airport on Saturday after personnel managing parking space took action against his driver for parking car at an inappropriate place. His supporters exchanged heated arguments with personnel managing the parking arrangements. A minor scuffle followed in the process. Bhuria watched the tiff for some time and then intervened. The matter was finally settled.

“It is no big issue,” Kantilal Bhuria told Free Press over phone. He said his driver may have parked the car at an inappropriate place but the matter was settled. “At times, it happens. This incident should not be blown out of proportion,” he added. Additional Superintendent of Police (traffic, west) PS Meena said traffic department had sent two constables to intervene the matter. “Dispute settled after both sides were told to calm down,” Meena said.

Indore City Congress Committee denied that Bhuria’s supporters indulged in violence but its spokesperson Johar Manpurwala alleged that police, administration and airport staff avoid action against BJP even if its activists and leaders unleash violence at airport or other places. “This partiality towards BJP is disgraceful,” he added. “Why no action is taken against BJP goons?” he demanded to know.

Traffic warden at airport locked the vehicle (of Kantilal Bhuria) when his driver parked it in front of the Terminal illegally. The driver had also a verbal altercation with the warden and he even scolded him for his ignorance. Later, the guard of private security agency, hired by the Airport administration, was suspended.
