An advertisement for recruitment on different posts in MGM Allied Health Science Institute (MAHSI) has caused a stir as the institute has asked applicants to submit the No-Objection Certificate from their employer. The condition in the application form has put the applicants in dilemma as they will have to inform the current employer without getting assurance of being selected in MAHSI.
“How and why the employer will give NOC to the employee for applying in another institute? The condition has baffled applicants as many of them would not be able to apply for the posts,” an applicant for the post of assistant professor said wishing anonymity. The applicant said asking for NOC from employer will develop mistrust and will make things worse if the applicant is not selected in MAHSI.
Founder director of MAHSI Dr DK Taneja said selection committee will take the final call in the matter. MAHSI has released an advertisement for recruitment for the post of director, deputy director, principal, associate professor, assistant professor, demonstrators and accounts officer. Last date for submitting the application is Oct 1.
Maximum age for applying not per norms?
As per advertisement, maximum age for applying on the post of assistant professor is 35 years while the age group for the post of principal is 40 to 45 years. A senior official of MGM Medical College said that as per the Model Service Rules-2018, there is no upper age limit for the post of assistant professor and principal. “It is difficult to say whether recruitments in MAHSI will be done as per Model Service Rule or as per MPPSC norms,” official said.
