Dewas: Additional chief secretary KK Singh on Saturday participated in a gram sansad organised under the ongoing ‘Gram Uday se Bharat Uday’ campaign here at Mhowkheda gram panchayat under Bagli development block and Kankada gram panchayat under Sonkutch development block in Dewas district.

Sonkutch MLA Rajendra Verma, district collector Ashutosh Awasthi, superintendent of police Anshuman Singh, district panchayat chief executive officer Prabal Sipaha, additional chief executive officer Rajesh Dixit, SDMs, tehsildars, janpad panchayat CEOs and other senior officials were present on the occasion. A large number of villagers participated in the gram sabha.

In the meeting, Singh appeal villagers to take benefit of government schemes as much as possible. On villagers demand to construct pond in the village, Singh directed irrigation department officials to conduct survey and forward report to Bhopal. Singh also performed bhoomi poojan for check-dam on the occasion.

Addressing the gathering, MLA Verma sanctioned Rs five lakh for community hall in the village. Verma appeal farmers to follow instructions of agriculture scientists and get more yield. He also encouraged villagers to take benefit for government schemes as much as possible.
