Cricketer Yuvraj Singh and actress Hazel Keech got hitched on November 30 at Dera of Ram Singh, a Gurudwara located 40 km away from Chandigarh.
The couple’s pre-wedding pictures were proof that their wedding ceremony will be amazing. And believe us, it was.
The prince charming of Indian cricket team wore a maroon colour sherwani with cream coloured churidar by JJ Valaya and looked awesome. Sporting a beard with a red turban and sehraa, Yuvi was all decked up as the groom.
Hazel looked elegant in a maroon lehenga with an embroidered dupatta on her head.
After the ceremony ended with a grand langar, he posted a picture captioning ‘It’s time!’
After the wedding ceremony, the couple took the blessings of Dera head Baba Ram Singh.
The wedding was a low-key affair with only family and close friends attending it. There were tight security arrangements near the gurudwara. It is also said that it was Yuvraj Singh’s mother, Shabnam Singh, who wanted the power couple to get married in a Sikh ceremony as she is a believer of Braham Gyani Sant Ram Singh. Yuvraj’s father Yograj Singh was not present at the wedding as he was against the wedding being solemnised by a Dera leader he said that he ‘believed in god and not religious leaders.’
The couple will marry again according to Hindu wedding ceremony on December 02 at a farm house in Goa and will also host a grand reception in Delhi on December 07. There is also a buzz that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will grace the grand reception at the capital.
