Mumbai: Project Mumbai event had an interesting interviewer asking questions to the Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis on Saturday. Bollywood superstar, Shahrukh Khan asked Fadnavis to state his vision for Mumbai city. CM said, “Mumbai is known as the city of dreams, where anyone who comes can achieve it here. However, there are a few who cannot fulfil their dreams due to some problems. I wish to see everyone’s dream is fulfilled. I want Mumbai should be accessible to all. This is my vision and mission.”
Shah Rukh showed off his close connections with Fadnavis and praised the CM for working hard. “Whenever I am in trouble and if I drop him a message, be it midnight, CM texts back in a minute,” said Shahrukh. Fadnavis said, people dial 100 to just talk to someone. “In the city of Mumbai, people feel lonely and many a times they dial police helpline number 100, not to lodge any complaint, but to just talk,” revealed Fadnavis.
Speaking about providing international educational facilities to Indian students, Shah Rukh Khan asked the CM to allow international universities to affiliate with educational institutions of Mumbai. Shahrukh said, students can learn specialised courses in city instead of going to aboard.
He also expressed his desire to set up an archival centre in Mumbai so to preserve film related work which can be used for study purpose by students also in future. Also, spoke about video literacy and how it should be improved and encouraged. A parting shot of Shahrukh, however, was a message to his friend Fadnavis. “To make Mumbai magical, three Cs (creative, competition and culture) and inclusive society is needed.
