Celebrated largely in North India, Karwa Chauth is growing bigger every passing year. Women rigorously observe fasting during the day for the good health of their husbands. Unlike other fasts observed by the Indian culture which allows eating fruits and meals by vrat special ingredients, this festival is one such which doesn’t allow consuming even a sip of water from sunrise to moonrise.
During the festival women wear bright ethnic wear, get fancy hairdos, wear glittery ornaments, apply beautiful mehendi on their hands and feet, dance, sing and wait for the moon to rise. Well, advice keeps flooding in from family and friends, but it’s up to you whether to observe the fast or not. And if you do, you need to follow some important tips on ‘How to break your Karwa Chauth fast.’
