Indore: Are you getting tired of clearing photos and videos from your phone every other day? Do you enjoy some positive forwards and have trouble deciding which one to delete? WhatsApp’s new feature is quickly gaining popularity in users in Indore as it saves them from the hassle of clearing their phone memories again and again.
This could give people a time-out by reducing their phone maintenance activity as well. The flip side could be losing some essential media in case of such setting, when chat is deleted. This latest feature that allows people to see media without saving it on their phones is trending in Indore. While many had switched to ignoring media files by limiting media auto-downloads, some were pained by managing media files.
With the new feature, people are up for sharing and looking at media files again. This is also having a positive impact on marketing and online promotion activities. Talking about its effects, IT professional Saad Khan said, “Many a times, in fact at least 7 in 10 people ignore media posts in groups and avoided downloading them, but this feature helps us in getting our media at least a glance from WhatsApp users.”
The feature was released in the latest update released over the weekend on Google playstore. Sharing why this feature is trending among users, an art group admin Preeta Gadkari said, “We love sharing our artworks and checking out other people’s work. Because a phone has limited memory we cannot store many of the shared paintings.” She added that the feature has truly addressed the much needed issue being faced by the users.
“We have several formal groups of office and some family groups, it become very difficult to manage all the data, so this feature can help us in reducing screen time,” administrator Bindiya Sood said. She feels that these features are truly productive as it would help cut down storage maintenance time. “I hope that it will also ensure that phone does not hang because of excessive data in storage,” Bindiya said.
