Goa CM Manohar Parrikar comes to work whilst on saline drip

Panaji: To send a message to his voters that is recuperating and back to work, Manohar Parrikar, the chief minister of Goa, who has been under treatment for Pancreatic cancer now has brought a saline to work. He was seen inspecting construction of Zuari Bridge and third Mandovi bridge in Goa, which he tweeted elicited many comments on twitter.

It all began with a tweet by National Conference leader Omar Abdullah. He said, “He has a tube inserted through his nose into his digestive tract. How inhuman to force him to continue working and doing photo ops. Why can’t he be allowed to deal with his illness without all this pressure and tamasha?”

Parrikar was seen in public for the first time since returning to the state on October 14 post hospitalisation in Delhi’s All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). Apart from reviewing work on the Mandovi river, the CM also inspected the work on a bridge over the Zuari river near Agassaim village. Sunday was the first time he moved out of the house.
