PATNA : A 23-years old girl Shristi Jain from Indore was murdered at a hotel near Patna junction in broad day light by an youth from Raghopur in Vaishali district.
Police suspects either a love affair or dispute over money mattes behind the cold blooded murder of the girl.
Three bullets were pumped into her body and she died instantly. P K Mandal, deputy SP of Patna Sadar who visited Mani International Hotel at Mithapur bus stand close to Patna junction said girl who is daughter of Sushil Jain of Indore had landed here on Saturday by a flight from New Delhi and checked in the hotel.
She was leaving the hotel to board a train. Her trolly bag was to be put in an auto outside the hotel. The girl who was carrying two hand baggages, including one lap top bag, had an heated argument with an young man-identified as Rajnish of Raghopur in Vaishali district,20 kms from Patna across Ganga river at the gate of the hotel when she checked out of the hotel. Police said two boys had also checked in a room in the same hotel on January 23. The police said the CCTV footage showed the girl was engaged in heated arguments with one of the youths and was asking him to leave her alone.
She was heard screaming at the youth and telling him,she would go to the railway station alone,he need not to accompany her. Shristi’s father told Patna police that she worked in a private company in New Delhi. Purpose of her visit to Patna was not told to police.
