Father kills two kids in Nashik, commits suicide

Nashik: In a chilling incident in Nashik, a father of three teen-aged children strangled two of them to death, tried to kill another one before committing suicide by setting fire to himself.

The father, 50-year-old Sunil Nyrutti Beldar, who runs a private coaching institution, is believed to have planned the murders. Sunil’s wife, Anita, had separated from her husband and used to live with the kids at her parent’s home. On the fateful day, Anita came to Sunil’s house with the children believing that her husband had reformed.

Sunil had taken the family out for lunch on Thursday. After returning home, Sunil first drugged 10-year-old Vaishnavi and 8-year-old Devraj and then strangled them to death. He also injected 12-year-old Sanjeevani with some medicine. Anita, who was out washing clothes, got suspicious when she found the door to the room locked. She raised a hue and cry and a couple of auto drivers then called the police. But by the time the cops arrived, Sunil had set fire to himself.
