Indore : The Crime Branch police busted a gang involved in issuing fake registries for plots in Green Cottage Colony. The police arrested the gang leader and booked him under various sections of the IPC. According to the police, a complaint was received by DIG Santosh Kumar Singh during Jan Sunvai that a gang was involved in issuing fake registries for plots in Green Cottage Colony in Bijalpur area. Singh handed the matter to the Crime Branch and during investigation the branch found that one Ashok Kapoor of Gwalior had purchased 15 decimal or 6541 sq ft land from Ganesh Construction, Indore.

Since Kapoor lived in Gwalior and was unable to keep an eye on his purchase, land grabbers took advantage of the situation as prices began rising phenomenally in the area. The gang created a fake Ashok Kapoor and sold the land to Neelam Gupta for Rs 30 lakh and collected Rs 8 lakh in advance.

They again used the same Kapoor but with different Aadhar card and sold the land to one Harendra Singh of Manishpuri, Susheel Lakhotia of Bada Sarafa and Sangeeta Surana of Rambagh for Rs 10 lakh and collected Rs 1.20 lakh as advance. As prices began to sore, the gang once again used the same Kapoor and claiming that the past deals were cancelled and sold the land to Milap Mishra of Sudama Nagar for Rs 16 lakh and collected entire money through an account opened in Corporation Bank in Dewas.

Based on their investigation, the Crime Branch arrested Nitin Sharma of Shrinagar Extension, fake Ashok Kapoor alias Moolchand Choudhary of Kadwali Bujurag, Rakesh Gupta of Anoop Nagar, Virendra Ghosh, Nirendra Ghosh both residents of Nalanda Parisar, Abdul Rahman of Azad Nagar, Jai Parmar of Jawahar Marg and Deepak and booked them under Sections 420, 464, 465, 467, 468, 470 and 120 B of the IPC.

Nitin Sharma told the police that he and his friend Rakesh Gupta ran Reliance DSA and made their collection agent Moolchand as Ashok Kapoor.

They then obtained fake IDs, Aadhar cards etc for Moolchand a milk vendor. After verifying the facts by interviewing his sister the cops posed as businessmen and met Babulal’s Moolchand with an offer to open stalls at Simhastha fair for milk distribution.

Moolchand met the officials and when shown the photographs he admitted to posing as Kapoor twice and received Rs 1 lakh payment for the work. Moolchand knew Gupta as he worked as collection agent for him.

Idea SIM was obtained in the name of Virendra using fake documents and Idea retailer Abdul Rehman had helped them obtained the SIM.
