During the press meet he discuss about life, children and movies
Want my children to love and respect all religions
Shah Rukh Khan wishes his three children- Aryan, Suhana and AbRam- should learn and respect all religions. He sais, “I truly believe traditions and religions are all very personal. I think children, grown-ups should be left to learn it themselves.”
Says about parents
Speaking about his growing-up days, the ‘Raees’ star said, “My parents introduced me to everything. It was a refugee colony where I lived. So my parents used to be equally happy if I used to go to Ramleela or for Eid celebrations. That ways, you learn and respect and love each other because you learn each other’s religion on your own. So, I hope my children do the same. My memories and my thinking is this for them!”
Reading Mahabharata for Abram
Shah Rukh revealed that he’s currently reading the Mahabharata, the stories of which he likes and even shares with AbRam. “Similarly, the stories and anecdotes I know about Islam, I share those with my kids too. But I tell them as stories and I hope they learn and respect all the religions on their own and enjoy the fact that their traditions and their beauty need to be respected.”
Badshaah of Bollywood
Taking about it, the Badshaah of Bollywood said, “The entire movie hasn’t been reviewed by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) yet. Once that happens and if cuts and edits are still recommended, they will be taken into consideration. They will understand the context and hopefully everything will be good.”
Suhana debut in Bollywood
At the press meet, the actor was also quizzed about daughter Suhana’s movie debut, to which SRK replied, “I have said this very often, going out in public does not mean you want to be an actor. But the point is very clear that and I request everybody with love, I understand it is your job but they are not movie stars, they just happen to be a movie stars children and I think they are very respectful and decent. When they come out with me I make sure they stand with me and pose because I know it is meant to be important.”
As a strict father
“I request that if you see them publicly two things- first don’t assume that they can handle media frenzy because they get awkward too, and also don’t assume that they want to be actors. So, no, my children will finish the studies, in my house, the minimum qualification is to graduate, otherwise no entry in my home. If they want to be an actor, they will have to study to be an actor. So there is a long way to go yaar,” he added.
Completing 25 years in Bollywood
It has been 25 years since his first film “Deewana” hit the screens, and the magic of Shah Rukh Khan’s super stardom was there for all to see outside his bungalow Mannat. “Deewana” had released on June 25, 1992. People motivate me.”
“Twenty-five years is a long time… It means half of my lifetime I spent here in this industry. I will be turning 52 this year. I can never thank people enough to have tolerated me for years with love,” he added
For children he can cook pasta
“I only can make pasta, and I made it once when my daughter said, ‘Theek thaak bane hai (They are okay)’, which means this time I will make it better,” quipped Shah Rukh, adding that he is neither a foodie nor fussy about food.
He mentioned though that “some biryani will come in from Salman’s (Salman Khan) house”.
‘Kon mana kar sakta hai Salman ko! on Tubelight

Set up new office for my next with Anand Rai
Shah Rukh Khan said, that he has set up a office specially for his upcoming film with Anand L. Rai due to the technical requirements. “It is a movie on a vertically challenged special person. I enjoyed while shooting for the film. I think technically these kind of films should be made in India. I feel proud that my team is doing that,” Shah Rukh told media persons at his Eid celebrations at Taj Land Ends here.
“At this time, it is possible to make such films. We have completed 12-15 days of shooting. We have to edit 11-12 minutes of the film. Anand had told me that we should edit and see it first. It took 2 months to edit 30 seconds. We have made an office in Goregaon, specially for the film.”
Shahrukh will be playing a dwarf in the film while Anushka Sharma is playing a mentally challenged girl. Katrina Kaif is also a part of the project. Also starring Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub, the film is slated for a Christmas 2018 release. Its title is yet to be announced.
On ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ controversy
Shah Rukh Khan has reacted to the censor board’s disapproval of the term “intercourse” in a promotional video, saying neither he nor people associated with his upcoming film “Jab Harry Met Sejal” need to use anything “disrespectful” to sell it.
Asked for his opinion about the whole episode, Shah Rukh told the media, “I think I am below 18, so I cannot vote (laughed). “On a serious note, neither I, nor anyone in the film – Imtiaz, Irshad (lyricist Irshad Kamil) sahab, Pritam da or anyone would use any disrespectful word, that hurts a family or anyone’s sentiment. We are yet to send the film to the censors and they should watch the whole film to decide.”
“Jab Harry Met Sejal” is releasing on August 4.
