Mumbai: Refering to photographs showing farmers conducting ‘rasta roko’ and ‘chakka jaam’ recently in Buldhana, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said it is all a matter of perception.
“So-called leaders of farmers wanted to stage a rail roko, so they caught hold of a unused goods train. Some 10-15 activists climbed on to it and posed in front of photographers. The media has to do it’s dukandari (run it’s own shop) and began showing ‘Big Breaking News’ about this massive rail roko,” he said.
Stating that he was perplexed, Fadnavis said, “The press will not show the good policies we take. The media has to run it’s own shop, it will not show our good work or public welfare decisions.” The CM said he cannot rely on media and advertisements to reach out to people. He added, “You will have to take the message to the people ‘man to man’, heart to heart.”
