Ujjain : Dispute over seats on board Avantika Express turned violent on Saturday morning when two women sitting in a general coach thrashed two girls who were students.  The students were on their way to Ujjain to attend classes.

According to information received, around 10 girls got in to the general coach of Avantika Express from Nagda junction. The girls tried to wake up two women who were sleeping on the berths meant for sitting, but the women raised started quarrelling and used abusive language with the girls. They also start beating them up in a fit of anger.

During the dispute Vandana Solanki, resident of Nagda was injured seriously. Another girl, Jyoti Solanki was also injured.

The accused Yasmeen resident of Indore was taken to the police station by railway protection force (RPF) after registering the statements of the victims.

 TI Vipin Batham stated that the police were investigating into the matter. The girls, however, did not want to lodge a complaint.
