Mumbai: The latest video of AIB on cricketer Sachin Tendulkar and playback singer Lata Mangeshkar has earned brickbats from a cross section of society. Mumbai police has also swung into action and is monitoring social networking sites. Amaya Khopkar of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena’s film division has submitted his complaint letter against Bhat at Shivaji Nagar police station (copy with FPJ) on Monday morning. Khopkar demanded immediate removal of the video that went viral on the social media on Sunday.

As per Supreme Court guidelines, the social networking sites cannot remove the video that has mocked Sachin Tendulkar and Lata Mageshkar, said sources in the Cyber Cell and added that the issue is being closely monitored by Commissioner of Police DD Padsalgikar. The spokesperson for Mumbai Police, SangramsinhNishandar, confirmed that Shivaji Park police station has received a complaint from Khopkar. “Mumbai police is in the process of drawing transcription of the said video,” said Nishandar.

“We will take legal advice over the transcription before initiating any action against Bhat,” said Nishandar.
