Congress ignored dalit leaders for years

Mhow: Addressing public gathering here in Mhow, BJP stalwart took Congress at a task saying the party had no chief ministerial face. He accused party for problems like “terrorism and naxalism” in the country. “Congress is responsible for two burning issues apart from corruption in the country. If this is not enough, their leaders divide people on the name of language and region,” Yogi said. “Even then prime minister Rajiv Gandhi admitted that we send Rs 10 for poor people from centre, but they only get Re 1”.

He accused Congress of ignoring dalit leaders including Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar saying that Congress government intentionally delayed Bharat Ratna to Dr Ambedkar and the leader got honour what they deserved only after BJP came in power in 2004 when Atal Bihari Vajpayee sworn as the prime minister. On Rahul Gandhi, Yogi said that even his own party leaders do not trust him and whenever he campaign for his party, party bite dust. The BJP, which has been in power in Madhya Pradesh since 2003, is aiming at a fourth straight term under chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
