New Delhi : The Congress on Thursday rued on poor image of India being presented to the world on this Republic Day, with Rahul Gandhi blaming the ruling BJP for its use of hatred and violence “setting our entire country on fire.”
On the anti-Padmavat agitators stoning a school bus of kindergarten children in Gurugram, a Haryana town off Delhi, on Wednesday, Rahul tweeted: “There will never be a cause big enough to justify violence against children. Violence and hatred are the weapons of the weak. The BJP’s use of hatred and violence is setting our entire country on fire.”
Congress chief spokesman Randeep Singh Surjewala said the attack on the innocent children’s bus and burning of a state roadways bus in Gurgaon are shocking as the administration was not in sight, once again proving the BJP government”s utter failure in maintaining law and order.
Senior Congress leader P Chidambaram elaborated the party stand by picking up Modi’s address to the WEF in Davos on Tuesday, inviting the investors for business in India. “On the day when PM invited world business to invest in in India, Ahmedabad was hit by mob violence,” Chidambaram said on Twitter, with three more tweets that put India to shame and detracts the investors coming to India.
