KHANWA : Indore Divisional commissioner Sanjay Dubey, along with the other officers, visited Hanuwantia Tapu near here where the MP Tourism Department is going to organise a 12-day water sports ‘Jal Mahotsav’ next month. During this festival, a crucial Cabinet meeting of MP Government will take place on a cruise. Commissioner boarded the cruise and supervised the preparations such as sitting arrangements, mike system, screen for presentations etc.
Hanuwantia is tourist place, situated on the bank of river Narmada under Punasa development block.
Commissioner Dubey and others officers arrived at the venue and took the inspected the preparations. He instructed superintendent engineer B K Chouhan to complete the approach road for Hanuwantia before February 1. Inspector General Indore range Vipin Maheshwari, Khandwa collector Dr MK Agrawal, Superintendent of Police Dr Mahendra Sikarwar, district panchayat CEO Amit Tomar, additional collector Anurag Saxena and other officers accompanied him.
He also instructed superintendent of Power Distribution Company to ensure unaffected power supply during the festival. The superintendent was also told to remove the electric poles coming on the approach road and shifted them to little distance.
Chief medical and health officer Dr JS Awasya, who was also present on the occasion, was asked to set up temporary health centers and ensure the availability of Ambulances at festival site.
Keeping in the view of cabinet meeting of state government, ADG Maheshwari took the meeting of police officers and discussed the security arrangements. He instructed the concerned officers to deploy adequate police force at Hanuwantia on February 2.
